Jim Moreno and I have worked together on the Southern California poetry scene for more than a decade.

Jim, a poet, open mic host, educator, and spoken word performer, created a poetry/ music collaboration with several artists way back in 2007 in his spoken word CD “reversing the erased: exhuming the expunged” the musical companion to his award winning book: Dancing in Dissent: Poetry for Activism.

??????????

I was one of those musicians. The CD party was just plain fun, but I didn’t think much about it at the time. We performed “Encounter in Reno” live in many venues over the years and we promised folks that we would record it live sometime in the future, but stopped appearing on stage together as careers, gigs, and just life got in the mix.

It is several years later and the CD “reversing the erased: exhuming the expunged” is still being bought at his performances, In addition, the single “Encounter In Reno” is still being downloaded on a variety of servers including CD Baby, I- Tunes , and Amazon.com. Jim has since completed a second book of poetry: A Question From Love, several videos, and appears all over the country as a much sought after poetry workshop facilitator in a variety of venues.

Recently, we united again and were able to fulfill our promise to fans, friends, and family. Thank you to Warren Williams wood carver/artisan (also known as “the Walking Cane Man) for taking the video during performance.

One resolution New Year’s fulfilled. . .

Musewoman,

Delores Fisher

PS. Thank you so much to those of you are uploading the video, sharing it with friends, and including it on your favorites list.

We finally made it live!. Again..thank you.
